Aliza and Nate’s Manhattan Rooftop Wedding

June 5, 2019

This wedding! I don’t even know where to start! From the beginning when Aliza and Nate were telling me about what they had planned so far I just knew it was going to be one of those weddings that I will always remember. I was so excited that they wanted me to capture their Rooftop wedding in Manhattan. There is something so fun about a city wedding. The views are amazing and when a couple has the chance to show out of town guests just how amazing this city is gets me a little excited. It is so breathtaking to be photographing a ceremony on a rooftop overlooking the East River or the Hudson. I just can not get enough of it! This wedding was so amazing that it was featured on one of my favorite planning blogs Smashing the Glass. If you are planning a Jewish or Jew-ish wedding be sure to check it out for some great inspiration.

Now on to some of the wedding day details. The couple chose Ramscale Studio for their ceremony and reception because it was in their neighborhood and it overlooked the pier where they walked often. Aliza’s dress was a Monique Lhuillier gown that fit her perfectly. I just loved all the lace and detail. The couple decided to do a first look on the rooftop which I was really excited about. Their ceremony overlooked the Hudson River and Jersey City. The sunset was unbelievable that night and we were able to get some gorgeous portraits during cocktail hour. They could not have had a better day and I was truly honored to capture these special moments for them.
